So I added the 2011 calendar to available products.  I am going to meet with the Illinois Small Business Development center and a CPA on 10/25.  If all goes well, they will help fill out the loan package for an SBA micro loan and then I will be able to open an office and hire a few staff.  The next move is purchase a shuttle bus and begin the service from Cancun to Orange Walk Town Belize.  Spoke to my father and he is ready to start providing tours throughout Belize to sites such as Lamanai etc.  The way I see the next two years, we begin the tourism part of the business and I continue to add products to the webstore and I will also be seeking to go offline and have these products offered at a retail store.

So I'm back from Belize and there is some exciting news to announce.  I am currently negotiating to convert MayaJohnEnterprises into an LLC and will be receiving my first infusion of business capital.  I spoke to my father, and the plan is to create our own tourism company that will transport tourists from the Cancun airport across the border to Orange Walk Town, Belize, Central America. We will provide private accomodations for our guests and then my father, John Crawford, who is a licensed tour guide, will take tourists out to visit sites that they select as needed.  We intend for this to be all inclusive, with costs of transport, tour fees, lodging and food and drinks all included in one total bill.  After the redesign of this page, there will be forms that allow travelers to book their trip online and they will still be able to contact us via phone and email if they prefer.

Visiting a web design company on 9/28, to make this site more professional, will be adding the black tshirt to the webstore.  Traveling to Belize on 9/19 in time for Belize independence day, super excited.  Will be meeting the man himself, MayaJohn will be posting pics.

Ok, so I won't repeat the info I placed in my forum post but would like to thank all my new members of this site. If you havent got a chance to say hi, welcome Aurea Mcgarry, she is my team leader with The Trump Network and is based out of Atlanta, GA.  I am really excited with all the progress with the business and having been getting better results with my online campaigns. Spoke to a wonderful lady with the SEO company Orange Soda, who will be helping me to get better targeted traffic to the site to increase ROI.

Ok, so I wanted to give a quick update on the progress of this site. I lost one member but gained two in Bill Buck and CeeJay, thanks for joining guys. I plan on revamping this site in the coming months, I will probably be hiring a web designer to make this site more visually appealing. Also, I ordered the first promotional t-shirt for MJE(thats MayaJohnEnterprises) for short, let me know if anyone is interested in purchasing one or in promoting the brand offline.  I have been busy trying to drive traffic to the site, and I'm happy to say that I get a good mixture of visitors from the US and internationally.  I might be adding a webstore page to the site but I'm looking for the right product to sell.  Something that goes along with the Mayan theme and something that is affordable given the times we live in, any suggestions?  Also, I will be having my wife, Ana Crawford, blog here as well, since she is co-owner of this site and has great ideas too.  If you have done so already, you can follow me on Twitter and I will do the same for you.  Once again, thanks to the new members and I will continue to work on improving this site.

Ok, some Im working on promoting this business online and I will be submitting this blog to Technorati. My wife and I are excited about promoting this business.  Just yesterday we got our official certificate of registration from the IL Dept of Revenue.  I've been spending a lot of time lately on Twitter and Linked in.  I did a web grade of this site and received a score of 51%, not bad considering, Im running this site with out the aid of a professional web designer.  I've been following businesses on twitter which focus on website marketing and copywriting.  Also I would like to increase the awareness of the ancient Maya civilization along with the awareness that modern day Mayan people are still alive and struggling to gain their lands in Belize, Central America.
